Derek’s smile softens, becoming less sheepish, and then widens. “Couldn’t agree more,” he replies, although he’s a firm believer of everything in moderation. He leads her further into the parking garage - he had promised her parents that he’d make sure she got home safely - and to his truck. “Any place you’re craving?” he asks. “If you look one up, we can pick it up on the way back.”

                          “I’m honestly not that picky.
                          Where is your favorite spot?”

hen it came to most food, Juliet was not picky. She loved
almost every different type of food. Pizza of course was one of
top favorites. Yet being put on the spot Juliet was unable to think
of a place to pick up a pizza while they were already out.  That
was the thing about living in such a densely populated area. There
were always so many choices. so many places they could go too.

DEREK:

As the bag is handed over with a startled expression melting into a playful one, he peels back the brown paper to reveal the colored plastic of his favorite soda - Derek at least has the decency to look sheepish. Oh. It seems they were all off the mark with that one - he remembers Emily saying something about suspecting Juliet needed to spread her w i n g s but apparently, as far as teenagers are concerned, she’s more her father than her mother. He knows Prentiss had a wild streak back in the day.

His eyes sweep up to meet hers, looking at her over his brow, and he manages a - still sheepish - smile.

“Pizza’s on me?” he offers, amusement lacing his tone.

Unlike most teenagers Juliet had actually never once snuck
out of the house. She had never had or went to a wild party that
was later broken up by the cops. Juliet was a scholar student when
it came to school. She worked hard, got good grades. She even
would say she was preparing for college, even with a good two
and a half more years of school left. Was Juliet perfect, by no means
nobody was perfect. Juliet gave Derek a nob agree to the pizza he
was offering after assuming she herself was hosting a party. A
nod coming from Juliet before she spoke again.

“Sounds good to me, I mean who
doesn’t like pizza? It’s the best
                         kind of food.”

“Alright, dollface, you do realize you’re busted, don’t you?” he gives Juliet an expectant look, eyebrows slightly raised, lips pressed into a line to hide a smile. “No parents home… house all to yourself - paper bag peakin’ outta that back-pack of yours.” His eyes search hers and he scoffs, raising a hand in a submissive gesture. “Believe it or not, I was a teenager once too,” he tries teasing, hoping she trusts him enough to confide in her - Hotch and Prentiss already know she’s planning a party and trust him to keep her safe.

he teenage girls hands went up in the air as Derek suddenly
was accusing her of having a party.  As if she was caught, yet it was
not what he thought. Juliet had went all out for this surprise for him
and here Derek was treating her as if she was her TROUBLE making
brother. Her hands reaching behind her grabbing the brown medium
sized bag for her purse. Holding it out for the older man to take a
peak if he dared. Juliet never had anything to hide, she was not a
rebellious teenager, she KNEW better. Her parents were already
scary enough. Why would she ever want to act out causing it to be
worse. A smirk of course coming from her lips as she handed the bag
over. A play voice speaking the words smoothly and in a joking manor.

“Thank god you work for the FBI. You
would make a horrible detective otherwise.”
